The Belgian Council for Earth Sciences is an organisation where all Belgian associations who are active in the field of geology, mineralogy, paleontology etc. can meet and discuss in an open forum.
Developing contacts, exchanges and partnerships between associations, as well as with any other Belgian or foreign organization who unites (citizen) scientists within the Geo-science field
promoting good relationships between associations, academics, the industry, governments and other institutions
Encouraging associations to join the RAW-CST council and individual collectors or citizen scientists to join an association.
WHAT WE DO
We advise our associated partners to implement our deontological code of ethics for all their members
We actively cooperate with the mining industry and professional research institutions to bring research to the field
Once a year we meet with all the representative partners in an open discussion forum (general meeting).
It is our goal to represent the majority of all Belgian geo-minded organisations and stimulate individual hobbyists and citizen scientists to cooperate with each other.
We do not discriminate any person or association, but we demand strict compliance to the rules and guidelines as mentioned in our deontological code of ethics.
MEET OUR PARTNERS
The Belgian Council For Earth-Sciences is an aggregate of several Flemish and French-speaking organisations who actively work together. In mutual consent they set out the rules for a safe and ethical framework where individual and group research, excursions and projects can take place.
